Can Paid Traffic Work

If you want to make quick money online then perhaps paid traffic could really work if done correctly.

If you want to earn money instantly online then you might want to think about buying web traffic. The trick is to make more money than you spend and then leverage it up. Once you are making more than you spend you just re-invest and scale it up.

PPC Pay per click can be a very quick way to get very target traffic. You go set up a campaign and then you have traffic instantly. The downside is that the PPC networks are often very strict and limit where you can send traffic to. Here is a quick tip: If you call the people you are looking to advertise with you can usually pay lower price. You need to be tactful but usually they don’t even expect people to pay the rates stated.

The paid traffic landscape is wide. So don’t limit yourself to these networks. You can even advertise on places like twitter and stumbleupon.

Free Traffic

Google is god and they know it too. So they can shut your PPC down without even caring even if you spend 10k a day with them. With free traffic you typically don’t have to worry about it. The upside of free traffic is that it is of course free and the downside is that some techniques require you to start the snowball before it starts rolling.

SEO – Got a website or blog? If no get one, if yes are you optimised for the search engines? Firstly with SEO you need to find a good keyword because keywords are the start and end of everything SEO. You can do the same thing every day but if your keyword is wrong you will be simply wasting your efforts. When many people think SEO they think they need to pay some “expert” to get their website to rank well. That’s not true at all, because they don’t understand the game and are trying to win keywords like “make money.” If you try to win that keyword you have to “hire an expert” who secretly hires 20 cheap outsource staff members to build backlinks for him. They are just the middle man which is another reason why it costs so much.

If you really want to dominate the search engines and have free traffic for life you go after long tail keywords. Keywords like “Earn Money Instantly Online.” Not only will the traffic you get from that keyword be prequalifed but if you look at the competition you have an accurate understanding of how you will rank in the search engine results pages (SERPs).

Here is a quick breakdown of what to do for SEO

Step 1: Find A Good Keyword That You Can Rank For

Go to the Google keyword tool and type in a word that you would like to write an article, blog post, or web page about. Then search by global monthly searches and find a long tail keyword that has more than 300 global monthly searches and less than 1,000 competing pages when you use the AllInTitle search modifier in Google.

Simply take your keyword then go to Google and type allintitle:KEYWORD. If the number of search results is higher than than 1,000 you will be wasting your time unless you build backlinks. Once you have a keyword with more than 300 global monthly searches (the more the better) and less than 1,000 search results when you use the AllInTitle search modifier then you are good to go.

Side note: I know many people will tell you to use the “quotes” search modifier but the all in title modifier is much more accurate.

Step 2: Produce A Keyword Focused Content Page That Is Optimised For SEO

Write an article, blog post or web page that’s content is focused on the keyword you found. But make sure that it has these requirements fulfilled. The keyword must be the first word no later than the second of the article title, blog post or web page. The keyword must be the first meta keyword, the keyword must be the first word, no later than second, of the article title, blog post or web page’s meta description, the keyword must be within the first 90 characters of the page, the keyword should be in one but no more than two text links on the page, the keyword should also be on the page for 1%-2% of the text (also known as keyword density). Once all of these requirements are fulfilled you are almost ready to earn money instantly online.

Step 3: Promote Your Article, Blog post Or Web Page By Pinging, Bookmarking And RSS

Go to ping-o-matic and ping your article. This helps your page get indexed so the search engines will pick it up and put it in their listings. The next part is to bookmark your article with services like Onlywire or social marker. You will need to create accounts at the top social bookmarking sites and these services allow you to distribute your content through all of your network.

Why You Don’t Earn Money Instantly Online Instantly

Making cash online takes some time. It can be done instantly with PPC and SEO and all that, it 100% can and I am living proof, but for most people you will simply need to do these things and it can take some time. But once it is all set up it will pay you for days, weeks, and even years to come. The learning curve is big. Most people don’t know how to do PPC or SEO… so you need to develop a mastery in one thing. I personally think that there are so many scammers out there who call themselves “gurus” creating products that don’t really help people just so they can make some more cash but you still need to learn how to do something and do it well. In fact, you only need to learn how to do ONE thing and do that well.

Then you need to avoid all the hype and put your head down and do it. So go out and find one thing that works and get it done.

Non Optimised sites Don’t Rank, True or False?

Have you ever wondered why some sites rank high on Google when they aren’t optimised for search engines? Or even worse, when they barely have any backlinks?

I have been asked this question a lot over the last few months, so I thought I would write a blog post explaining why this happens. Here is why some sites rank high when they are not optimised:

Reason 1: Click-through rate

Part of Google’s algorithm looks at a click-through rate. It calculates it as a percentage, reflecting the number of clicks you receive from the total number of people searching for that particular phrase you rank for. The higher the percentage, the more appealing your listing is compared to the competition. And if your click-through rate is higher than everyone else’s, Google will slowly start moving you up the search engine results page as this algorithm factor tells it that searchers prefer your listing.

Looking at the click-through rate isn’t enough, however, as people could create deceptive title tags and meta descriptions to increase their results. So Google also looks at your bounce rate. It assesses the number of people who leave your page by hitting the back button to return to the search listing page. If Google sends 1,000 people to one of your web pages and each of those 1,000 people hit the back button within a few seconds, it tells Google your web page isn’t relevant.

A lot of the websites that are ranking well on Google that don’t seem to be optimised have a high click-through rate and a low bounce rate, and that helps maintain their rankings.

If you want to see your click-through rates, log into Webmaster Tools, and click on your site profile. If you don’t have a site profile, that means you need to add your site to Webmaster Tools and wait a few days. Once you are viewing your site in Webmaster Tools, click on the navigational option “search traffic,” and then click on “search queries.”

Reason 2: Age

One of the big factors that cause some sites to rank well is their age. Most of the sites that rank high are at least a few years old. Sure, most of these older sites have more backlinks and content as they have been around for longer, but not all of them.

What I’ve noticed is that if you take a brand new website, build tons of relevant links, and add high quality content, you still won’t get as much search traffic as older sites will. There is not much you can do here other than just give it time. The older your site gets, the more search traffic you will generally receive, assuming you are continually trying to improve upon it.

Reason 3: Backlinks

Google doesn’t just look at the sheer number of backlinks a site has it also looks at relevancy and authority. Many of these non-optimized sites that are ranking well have a few high quality backlinks pointing to the right internal pages. For example, if you have only few links but they come from .edu and .gov extensions your site will rank extremely well.

In addition to having the right backlinks, those sites also have a spot-on anchor text for these links. Most SEOs think you need rich anchor text links to rank well, but the reality is you don’t. Google is able to look at the web page that is linking to you and analyse the text around the link as well as the text on the page. It helps Google determine if the link is relevant to your site and what you should potentially rank for.

Reason 4: Cross-linking

Even if you don’t have the best on-page SEO and a ton of backlinks, you can rank well from an overall site perspective if you cross-link your pages. It is important not just from a navigational or breadcrumb perspective, but from an in-content perspective. If you can add in-content links throughout your site and cross-link your pages, you’ll find that they all will increase in rankings.

On the flip side, if you aren’t cross-linking your pages within your content, you’ll find that some of your web pages will rank extremely well, while others won’t. It’s because you are not distributing link juice and authority throughout your whole site.

Reason 5: Content quality

Since its Panda update, Google has been able to determine content quality of websites. For example, it can determine whether a site is too thin or has duplicate content, allowing for a much better analysis of content quality than before. A lot of these well-ranking older sites have extremely high quality content. You may not think so, but Google does.

Why?

Because Google doesn’t just look at the content on a site, It looks at the content on one website and compares it to others within that space. So if you have higher quality content than all of your competitors, you are much more likely to outrank them in the long run.

Reason 6: Competition

The beautiful part about ranking for certain keywords is that they are low in competition. And some of these low competitive terms don’t get searched often. From what I’ve seen, the results pages for these low competition key phrases aren’t updated by Google as often as some of the more competitive terms are.

Why? Because more people are viewing the competitive terms. If you were Google, wouldn’t you focus your resources on ensuring that popular terms and results pages are updated more frequently than phrases that aren’t searched for very often?

Reason 7: Growth rate

What should you do if you want to rank really high for a keyword? Build a ton of relevant backlinks and write a lot of high quality content, right?

Although that’s true, what happens is a lot of webmasters grow their link count a bit too fast…so fast that it seems unnatural. And chances are it is. Google is smart enough to know this as it has data on a lot of sites within your space. For this reason, you see a lot of older sites ranking well as they are growing at a “natural” pace versus one that seems manufactured.

Conclusion

There are a lot of reasons why sites that don’t seem well-optimised rank well. The seven I listed above are the main reasons I’ve seen over the years. So the next time you are trying to figure out why a certain site ranks well when it shouldn’t, chances are it’s because of one or more reasons on the list. As a website owner, you shouldn’t focus too much on your competition; instead, you should focus on improving your website. In the long run, the company with the best product or service tends to win.

PPC Advertising

PPC Advertising (Pay Per Click) on the Internet is both extremely effective and an extremely competitive way to promote your brand and services. There are several ways to go about attracting traffic to your website; PPC advertising is one of the options you can choose from, along with developing an SEO, or search engine optimisation campaign.

Both PPC advertising and SEO are targeted to get your website and placed as close to the top of search engine results as possible. One of the differences is that it takes minutes to set up a pay-per-click campaign versus months for a good SEO campaign.

Pay-Per-Click is a simple type of paid advertising that most search engines, including some of the largest ones, now offer. It requires a bid for a “per-click” basis, which translates to your company paying the bid amount every time the search engine directs a visitor to your site.

There is the added bonus that when a per-click site sends your website traffic, your site often appears in the results of other prevalent search engines. As with all marketing campaigns, there are advantages and disadvantages. If you understand the process and monitor your pay-per-click campaign frequently, it can be very effective. One of the greatest advantages is that you never have to tweak your web pages to change your position in search engine results, as you must do in a typical SEO campaign.

What you do have to do in a pay-per-click campaign is pay a fee. Another advantage is the simplicity of the pay-per-click process. You just bid and you’re up and running. It doesn’t demand any specific technical knowledge, though the more you know about search engines and keywords, the easier – and more effective – the process will be.

The downside is that pay-per-click is essentially a bidding war.

A higher bid than yours will lower your position on search engine results. This means that you will have to raise your bid to regain your position – which can obviously become quite expensive, especially if you are bidding on a popular keyword. In order to determine if pay-per-click is a cost-effective form of marketing for your business, you must do some computing to figure out how much each visitor to your site is worth.

You can compute this value by dividing the profit you make on your website over a given period of time by the total number of visitors for that same time period.

For example, if your site made $5,000 in profits and there were 2,500 hits, each visitor would be theoretically worth 50 cents. The basic formula is profits divided by visitors. The figure of 50 cents per visitor is the point at which your business breaks even.

The idea, of course, is to show a profit, not to merely cover your costs. Therefore, you are aiming at a figure less than 50 cents per click. Be aware that the most popular keywords often cost considerably more than 50 cents a click.

It’s a problem that all Internet Marketers experience: Information Overload.  Every day there’s something “new” or “urgent” pulling our attention away from our main goal:  Growing our business.  One major time-sucking culprit is email, and taming email inbox has become a necessity in getting things done each day.

Marketing on the Internet has become a crowded arena, and it’s essential that you use each minute wisely to maximize your productivity.  While email has made it super-simple to keep in touch with colleagues or JV partners, it’s also opened the floodgates to all kinds of unimportant email that get past our spam filters — newsletters, free reports, and the next best income opportunity.  For many, email has become an unmanageable time sucker.

6 Strategies for Taming Your Email Inbox

1.  Limit Your Exposure

I used to check my email constantly, in fear that I might miss something really important.  In the process, I wasted a good part of my day in this unproductive activity.  I’ve found that it’s best to set a limit on the time you’ll spend reading email and stick to it.  No exceptions.  Once or twice per day is more than enough time to check emails.  There’s very little that can’t “wait ‘til morning.”

2.  Set Up Multiple Email Accounts

While this may seem counter intuitive, hear me out.   I really started streamlining my email access when I opened up a second and third Gmail account for my business.

I restrict my contacts in my primary account to only those that have a direct impact on my business:  Lead and sale notifications, mentors, and potential JV partners. This account is most important for my business bottom-line; as a result, I check these emails most often, once in the morning and once in the evening.

I use my 2nd email account for things like newsletters or blogs to which I subscribed, news from product vendors and other company business.  I check these emails once every few days.

The third email account is for “junk emails”, such as those you receive when you sign up for Free Classifieds or List Builders.  These are emails I rarely if every read, but by opening a separate Gmail account I am able to keep my primary inbox clean.

3.  Set Up Folders to Organize Your Messages

We all receive emails that don’t require immediate action, but want to save for future reference.  In these cases, it’s essential to create Folders.  In Gmail, you can set up an unlimited number of Folders, listed alphabetically on the sidebar next to your inbox.  Once click on the Folder and you have immediate access to your saved messages.  Yet, your inbox remains organised and uncluttered with messages that serve you no immediate purpose.

4.  Utilise Your Email Filters and Archive Features

Most email providers offer some kind of filtering mechanism for keeping emails organized.  In Gmail, you can apply filters to incoming messages that will label your email according to your instructions.  Even more useful, you can automatically have an incoming email moved to an appropriate folder for later reading, keeping your inbox clean.

5.  Segment Your Email

Gmail has recently rolled out a system for prioritizing your email, called Priority Inbox.  Google actually tracks your email habits, which emails you open most often and begins to prioritize these emails as “important”.  As more email messages come in, you can tell Google when something is inappropriately labeled and Google will “learn” your preferences.

In this way, your Priority Inbox will ultimately reflect your most important and useful messages.  Although it’s still in testing mode, Priority Inbox bears watching as another useful feature of Google Mail.

6.  Housecleaning

Email numbers pile up over time; a subscription here, an inquiry there.  All of a sudden, your once organized email inbox becomes, once again, unmanageable.  What can you do?

Once every month or so, I do a complete “housecleaning” of my account inboxes.

I go through the email I receive with a sharp-edged knife, and I “cut out” (i.e. unsubscribe) from any emails that are no longer serving a positive experience in my life.  Be ruthless in this effort and you can do wonders in limiting the amount of useless email you receive.

By using these strategies for taming your email inbox, you can potentially add hours to each day, just by eliminating the necessity for going through useless and unproductive emails.  Instead, this time can be used on Income Producing Activities for your business, and greatly improve your bottom-line.
