But how do you create the best content? Don’t worry in this list, we made sure to add plenty of steps that can be taken to ensure the likelihood of better content being posted onto your site. There are many benefits to focusing on your blog post titles such as better SEO rankings, as well as potentially longer times being spent on your site. Creating titles that are simple, yet invoke curiosity and explain what your content is about is a great first step to better blog post titles.

3. Ensure Your Site Loads Quickly

Ensuring that your website loads up quickly should be a given among most bloggers and webmasters. But when we get so involved in creating our website and content, load times can be totally forgotten or overlooked. To ensure your website loads up more quickly, minimize the number of plugins you use and use a theme optimized for SEO.

4. Make Your Website User Engaging

User engagement can play a huge factor for visitors coming to your site and how they perceive your website. By allowing individuals to post comments, and replying to those comments can allow for an increase in search term keywords, while providing a better and more helpful experience by users coming to your site.

5. Post Content More Often

You might see this method being used once or twice in this list and that’s because of its high importance to maintaining your site and establishing your brand online. The more content being posted on your site, the more of a presence you’re likely to have online and the better your reputation could become.

6. Offer a Product Or Service Not Offered By Anyone Else

Whether you’re an e-commerce site, a site that offers a service, or a blogger, offering something else that no one in your niche is offering can give you a huge advantage over your competitors. This could be anything from providing 24/7 help or promoting a product line that the online community in your niche feels so obliged to share with everyone else. Whatever it is, offer something no on else is offering to become the dominant player in your niche.

7. Make Your Site Stand Out On Social Media

Sites that stand out or make their mark on social media can provide your website with a boost in awareness, reputation, and even credibility. The more your website gets shared on social media, the more notice your website will receive. Focus on 1 or 2 major social media networks at first, then expand to others if possible. Use these networks as a method for branding your website and becoming known as a reputable source in your niche.

8. Brand Your Business & Website

Don’t just create a business or a website. Instead, you should always to attempt to create a brand that people will come to know and love. To better brand your business and or website, ensure that the website and content your posting has a purpose for your overall message.

9. Ensure You Have a Domain That Stands Out

Make sure you’re choosing a domain that is brand-able, and really stands out in your niche. Think of what people are more likely to click on when they see your future website listed on the first page or two of Google. Here is a small guide we created to help you create that perfect domain.

10. Use The Best Images

Using awesome images can have a major positive affect on your brand. If possible, try to capture and post some of these images yourself, instead of having to use stock photo sites every time. Taking the images yourself can go a long way in enhancing your website’s brand and credibility.

11. Create a Helpful Website To Dominate Your niche

Make sure individuals in your niche can find almost all the information they are looking for. All the questions relative to a product or service in your niche, should be answered by the content posted on your website, if you truly want to become a dominate player in your niche.

12. Avoid & Minimize Distractions Like Ads

The last thing on your mind when it comes to your website should be ad placement. That’s not to say you can’t have any. Just don’t make placing more ads within your content a priority. That’s not what leads to a great and successful site and can in-fact, compromise your long-term or future potential. Keep your advertisements or links as non-intrusive as possible.

13. Have a Good Variety Of Content

Don’t only ensure that you are posting consistently, but also ensure the content you posts comes in variety. This refrains your website from becoming overly repetitive and can give repeat visitors something new to look forward to daily.

14. Make Sure Your Website Is Well-Organised

A well-organized website will simply make your website easier to understand as a whole. To ensure better organization, use a menu structure and category hierarchy that makes sense. Also, make sure the categories being used are smaller sub-niche topics people in that niche are constantly searching for. That will make finding certain blog posts on your site easier than ever and ensure a much better user experience.

15. Become The Go To Resource

If you become the resource that everyone wants to visit in your niche, you can undoubtedly become a more dominant player in your niche. In order to become that go to resource, you need to ensure your website has content on many of the subjects and topics available in your niche. You should also ensure that content is being written with uniqueness and originality in mind.

16. Write Content No One Else Has Thought Of

Creating a website that promotes content creativity can help your site stand out in other ways. If you look at BuzzFeed for example, they’re actually a source of news who present their content in a much more engaging and trendy way. This is all due to the way they create their content and blog post titles.

17. Focus On The Details

Make sure you’re always focusing on the smaller details of the site. Aspects like font, color, headings, and more, can truly make or break your website’s short and long-term potential.

18. Write Lengthier Content, Guides, & How To’s

Ensuring there is a variety of content on your site can be made easy by creating really long and in-depth content that answers every question on that topic. Even though this content will be longer to create, its long-term rewards in terms of traffic, rankings, and credibility, will make it all worth it in the end. Visitors could also consistently be coming back to that content just as a reference or for getting an answer to a specific question.

19. Cover Everything Your niche Has To Offer

Don’t leave any stone un-turned, if you truly want to become the dominant player in your niche. If we take a look at CNN or FoxNews for practical purposes, we’ll find that the major news outlet covers absolutely every international news story they can on a constant basis. This means if you want to dominate your niche, constantly work towards filling your site up with more and more helpful content, that people can’t get enough of.

20. Grow Your Site With Age & Be Patient

Another important step towards dominating your niche, both now and in the future, is to allow your site to grow with age and practice patience. No website grows to its ultimate form overnight. It’s a process where the more content you add to your site, the more seeds you inherently plant for creating a more dominant online presence.

21. Post Often & Be Consistent

If you’re willing to let months go by without posting, you can never expect to be the dominant site in your niche. This is because there is a much greater likeliness your competitors are consistently posting. And if that’s happening, you need to make sure you’re on that same level or higher. Otherwise, why should your site be considered better or greater than theirs?

22. Hire Expert Authors To Write For You

One thing you can do as your site grows and grows is work on hiring more authoritative voices to write for your blog. This can essentially allow your website to become more of a resource for visitors who grow an increasing trust for the kind of content you publish.

23. Become An Authoritative & Trustworthy Source

Trustworthy sources will always achieve some of the highest rankings. But to build a website that established those two traits takes time and patience. For now, ensure the content or form of your content being posted is consistently being improved.

24. Get Noticed By Bigger Brands & News Outlets

Getting noticed by bigger brands and news sources truly means you’re headed in the right direction and can be a positive sign you’re posting the right kind of content. This means you should always create content other websites and brands are looking to share on their own.

25. Make Your Site & Content Reflective Of The niche Today

To become a bigger and better brand in your niche, ensure that the content of your site reflects how that niche is currently being perceived. It’s important to note that niches always go through changes overtime and it’s important for your website to reflect that. Technology changes, new products come out, newer innovations, etc.. Always try and capitalize on these topics trending in your niche.

26. Interlink To All Your Posts

By interlinking to your posts, you’re essentially creating an encyclopedia in its own way that can be used as a helpful online resource by visitors. Your ultimate goal in any niche is to help others. Interlinking to your posts therefore, is an SEO strategy that makes sense.

27. Write Content That Solves Problems

Seek out the problems individuals are having in your niche and create content that solves those problems. This will ensure better long-term SEO rankings and better awareness by visitors. Supplement your content with longer how to guides and tutorials that solve these long sought-out issues.

28. Create Lists Like This One

Creating lists is a popular method big brands like BuzzFeed and many others use to get the attention of visitors. They’re easier to read, browse through, and can be more fun to engage with. That’s because lists are a very straight-forward way of digesting many different kinds of content.

29. Learn To Outsource Various Tasks

Don’t try and manage all your web tasks alone. Instead, always work on building and managing a team who can take on some of these tasks for you, even if you can’t see the short-term profitability in doing so. This could lead to a better and more trusted brand over-time, by allowing you to focus on your most important tasks for long-term website growth.

30. Ensure Your Site Has a Contact Page

These three sections can ensure your website is more of a legitimate resource than others. By allowing visitors to contact you or know more about you, your brand, and vision can put you a step above other competitors who may have failed to do so. Ensuring visitors can contact you can further help your brand and promote more word-of-mouth advertising by those your brand has helped.

31. Make Your Content More Thorough

There are some types of content that simply require details and thoroughness. Always ensure that if you’re choosing a topic to write on, you cover all the bases, especially if that topic seems to require it more than others.

32. Supplement Content With Videos & YouTube

One way to ensure better variety and addition of content is by supplementing your content with YouTube videos. This can allow you to present content in a much more appealing way and allow you to ‘act out’ the content instead of writing it down for everyone to read. It can essentially also lead you to building a brand potentially twice as strong by creating both a YouTube and Google or search engine presence.

33. Ensure Website Is Mobile-Friendly

This is a fairly easy, basic, and straight-forward SEO strategy that will lead to better rankings and help you dominate your niche. For most, this is a one and done strategy that requires your theme to be mobile friendly. To ensure your website is mobile friendly, simply check out your website’s mobile status in Google Search Console.

34. Ensure Smooth Website Navigation

Focusing on your user experience is one great way to stand above the competition. Ensure smoother and better website navigation by adding a related content widget to the end of your posts. This increases the likeliness users will continue to visit other blog posts on your site. Provide related content you feel you’re targeted audience is interested in reading for a better user experience.

35. Focus On niche-Specific Keywords

For most bloggers, focusing on niche-specific keywords should be a given. Always make it your jobs, as an SEO enthusiast, to find both short and long-tail keywords you can base most of your content off of. These are the search terms people in that niche are searching for. The more keywords you can capitalize on and base great content off of, the more likely you’ll be found in the search engines.

36. Don’t Limit The Type Of Content You Post

As mentioned, mix up your content often. Never stick to just one kind of post as it’ll be much harder for your website to reach the majority of your audience. Types of content you can focus on include:

Reviews
Videos
Tutorials
Guides
How To
Opinionated
Lists

37. Consider Creating a Forum

Many of the dominant players in their respective niche have integrated a forum into their website. This is something you should only consider if it makes sense doing so and you feel is something you can manage or have a desire to achieve. Top websites like WarriorForum.com have built much of their reputation based on their forum alone.

38. Offer Lower Prices Or Higher Quality

One of the most important steps you can take if you’re an e-commerce site is to offer lower priced products than your competitor. Otherwise known as USP or unique selling proposition, this will give customers a reason to come back to your site over others. Whether it’s a higher quality product, lower priced product, or easier shipping and services, it’s important to find what part of your service will stand out more-so than others.

39. Maintain a Stellar Online Reputation

Maintaining a great online reputation for your brand is a task that comes along with any and every website. You want people to discuss your website in a positive light. The bigger your website and brand grows, the more important this task becomes. The more positively people talk about your website, the more likely it is to grow in popularity across the internet.

40. Focus On Community Involvement

Community involvement is really what provides proof that your website has content worth reading. Similar to engagement on YouTube videos that provide credibility for that video, same goes for websites. Whether its comments or shares, always try and focus increasing involvement in your community and your niche, as this will help with brand awareness and recognition as well. Comment plugins like Disqus can also go a long way in encouraging more users to get involved in the discussion, while blog commenting is another great way to bond relationships within your niche and keep you up on hot topics.

41. Add Social Media Sharing Links

Social media sharing is another great way to boost your website’s popularity and a method that allows your visitors to become more engaged with your website. Make sharing across social media sharing and entice people to share with easy-to-use links and with content that truly helps them. With one share leading to another, it can be hard to imagine just how fast your website could spread or grow on social media, on social media alone.

42. Ensure All Your Content Is Fully Readable

Readability is a huge and differentiating factor from one niche site to the next. It’s so important to emphasize your website’s readability and in placing it as a top priority for your website. Many visitors will simply leave a site because they had trouble reading the first sentence or two. Take the extra step to ensure you have some of the best readable fonts across other sites in your niche. This not only refers to plain paragraph text, but text in your titles, headings, and menu as well.

43. Create Audio Podcasts

One method that can truly allow you to dominate your niche is by creating audio podcasts. If you don’t prefer getting on camera or creating YouTube videos, one way to implement more content variety is by getting on a microphone and getting in a discussion over a topic in your niche. This can create some awesome debate or controversy in your niche and get noticed way more often. Pat Flynn from Smart Passive Income utilizes this method quite a bit and has grown to incredible new heights over the past decade.

44. Create a Newsletter To Dominate Your niche

Creating a newsletter for your website is an excellent way to grow an audience you know wants to hear from you. With your daily newsletter reaching the inbox of hopefully, thousands of subscribers, you can in-turn build your brand to a new height by constantly looking for new ways to help or entertain them. With a list, you now have a resource at your hand that you can work on using to spread the power of your brand even further.

45. Revise Old & Outdated Posts

As a blogger and webmaster, it’s always important your website doesn’t contain outdated information, especially if you’re aware of it. Every few months, go back to old posts just to make sure the information is accurate and reflects what is going on currently. If you have the extra time, consider sprucing up older posts you feel could be improved.

46. Keep An Eye On Rankings

If you’re looking to take your job seriously, keep an eye out for rankings. There are a number of ways you can do this to keep track of your progress, while placing markers on future goals. One way is by simply using Google Search Console to look at movement in keyword positions, impressions, and clicks. You might also decide to hire a third party service to keep track of this for you like the keyword tool Jaaxy or the all-in-one toolkit, SEMrush.com.

47. Watch For New Competitors

You should never panic whenever you see a few new competitors entering your niche. This is an inevitable occurrence that can’t be avoided and should not cause you to worry. Because your site has aged longer and gained more trust overtime, new competitors shouldn’t come as a threat. Instead, use them to see what new ideas they are implementing in the niche to see if it can inspire any new ideas for you.

48. Keep Your Site Updated

By consistently keeping your site updated and by adding new content to your site overtime, you can be sure to maintain both short and long-term rankings. This can help keep and maintain current rankings for your site and ensure potential future growth. Keeping your site updated is one of the most important things you can do to maintain your website’s rankings and contribute to growth for sites that are just starting.

49. Create Resources & Citations For Your Blog

One great strategy to keep visitors returning to your blog is by creating a resource section for your blog. With this page, you can include any tools, websites, or services you use that helps solve a problem within your niche. This is further useful as it compiles and lists everything being used by yourself in one easy to visit section on your blog or website.

In addition, make sure you create a resource or citations section at the end of blog posts that need them to instill more authority and trust. Wikipedia.org for example, never fails to include a citation/resource section at the end of their posts, turning them into a very credible source.

50. Follow The Steps In This List Often!

The last thing you want to do to truly dominate your niche is to follow the steps within this list often. Choose new steps or strategies to implement and work on over a course of a few months or more. This will allow you to grow your website to new heights, especially if you find that step takes more courage than others.

Whether that means hiring new individuals to join your team, creating 2,000+ worded readable content, getting on camera or microphone to stir a debate, or improving your keyword research, there are a never-ending amount of steps you can take to dominate your niche.

So why not start on your next plan or step today to dominate your niche?

Marketing Strategies That Work

What good is your idea if it isn’t directly in front of the people who will buy it? That is what marketing is all about. But some marketing strategies are costly, much too costly for us entrepreneurs.

The marketing strategies below do work, but you need a high profit product to make the investment worth your time.

A billboard: Around £10,000 for 4 weeks
A national television commercial: 30 seconds for £300,000+
You could possibly run a radio ad for £1,000 or so.

Most entrepreneurs just do not have that kind of marketing budget, so let me share some lower cost marketing strategies that do work.

1: Press Releases

The media can be your marketing friend at a low-cost if done properly. A press release written that describes your why, and what problem you are solving can get into the hands of many journalists and displayed on a lot of media locations.

Costs for a press release are minimal. Unless you know how to write a quality press release yourself, I suggest contracting a freelance press release writer. (if you don’t know any, message me and I will share 1 with you).

There is some cost in a press release service that will get it in the hands of the journalists, but that is quite low too.

2: Social Media

If you are not marketing on various social media channels, you are missing out on a lot of potential profits.

While you can advertise at a cost on social media, you can also market for free or for very little cost.

Facebook
Create a Facebook fan page around you or your brand. Post educational material with a call to action of visiting your landing page.

Twitter
Why not set up a free giveaway on Twitter? You will have Tweeters flocking to see what it is all about. What better way to get your product in front of many potential customers quickly.

LinkedIn
You can set up a professional LinkedIn page and even write educational posts on LinkedIn Pulse. Again, have a call to action leading back to a sales page or your website/blog.

Pinterest
Pinterest is a great social site where you should show images of your product and link them back to the location a person can purchase.

Other Social Media Strategic Marketing

Don’t neglect the lesser known and used social media sites either. Sites such as:

Instagram
Flipboard
Digg
Can also provide a great marketing means to sell your products or services.

3: Post Cards

While all the other entrepreneurs are email marketing, why not look back to the original mail system. No, you don’t have to buy a pony and start riding the Wild West, but creating postcards and buying stamps is a tremendous marketing strategy that does work.

So many people do not even open emails, but nearly everyone looks at the mail sent to them via the Postal Service.

You could put a picture of your product and a short reason why your product can help the person. Leave a method where they can purchase and watch the profits come in.

4: Hook Up With Other Entrepreneurs

You know of an an entrepreneur who sells similar things to you and is in the same niche. Why not work together and team up as JV partners? You offer his goods and vice-versa. Everyone wins!

5: Reviews and Testimonials

Find the reviewers who are well accepted. Send them a free product in exchange for an unbiased product review. Yes, you do chance a bad review, but that is a chance worth taking.

You can also ask customers for a testimonial and offer them a discount on their next purchase.

6: Create YouTube Videos

A short and simple video about the product or brand, telling to the viewers exactly what to expect from a potential purchase during the video is bound to gain huge attention, and sales.

These are just a few great marketing strategies that do actually work very well.

How To Find A Profitable Membership Marketing Niche

imagesMembership marketing is an extremely profitable business, if you do it right. Use your membership site to bring in multiple streams of income but only if you target the right market, the market that will be happy to pay for your content, products, and resources. Here are three steps to ensure you hit your target.

1  Identify Your Money Making Market

You may already have a market in mind. If you do fantastic! There are a few steps that you will want to take to make sure that it is a market that will make money. There’s no point in building a membership website if it isn’t going to put cash in your wallet.

So, maybe you have a passion for nutrition and are interested in a membership site that sells information and products related to nutrition. If this is the case, there are a few things that you will want to do to narrow your niche or create a sub-niche. The more targeted your niche, the more money you’ll make.

A sub niche doesn’t necessarily mean a highly targeted topic, make it a highly targeted demographic too. Speak to friends, family, and associated to help brainstorm a possibility of sub niches. Explore forums, chat rooms, and other membership marketing sites on relevant topics.

If you do not have a topic or niche identified then use your resources, this again means family friends and business associates for guidance. Ask them what topics they’re interested in. Search hobbies, passions, and areas that you are interested in learning more about. For example, rock climbing may be something that you’ve always aspired to learn. Use this desire to learn to launch a rock climbing membership site.

2 Determine Demand

To examine whether there is a demand for this information you have a wealth of options.

Check out online bookstores or visit your local bookstore and check out what’s on the bestseller’s list. These may be topics with an abundance of membership sites already but chances are you will find a profitable sub-niche or specialty market.

keyword research seems to be where people often go next, keyword research is a valuable tool. Consider repeating the process several times. The first time keyword research may actually help you determine a sub-niche. By searching for a general keyword like nutrition, you may find several sub niche possibilities.

However we’re talking about what to do with keyword research once you’ve determined your niche, keyword research to help you identify demand. For example, you’ve decided to create a membership site for the senior athlete, athletes over 50. keyword research will help you learn what topics senior athletes are interested in and which topics receive
the most demand.

3 Dig Deep

It takes more than just a little keyword research to make sure you’re hitting the right target membership marketing niche. Remember if your aim is off, your profits will be too.

Dig deep in forums and chat rooms. Forums and chat rooms are a fantastic way to research your market anonymously. Behind the scenes research so to speak. When you learn what other people are looking for, then determine if your sub niche is specific enough to provide it, and if there are enough people interested in the type of information and products you’d be offering.

Feeling bold? Register for the forum and ask questions. Don’t give away the bank, there are many people that would gladly take your idea and run with it but asking questions and taking notes will definitely help you understand your membership marketing needs.

Dig deep by visiting relevant websites. Once you’re done digging through the forums and chat rooms, take a peek at the websites that are currently available and relevant to your topic. For example, visit sports nutrition websites and websites for senior athletes. Take a look at the products that they’re selling. Don’t forget to take a look at the advertisers on their websites too! Visit the sponsored websites to examine their sites and products and study their marketing strategy and audience.

Dig in the back of magazines related to your topic. There is a magazine on just about every topic under the sun. Grab an issue or two and flip to the back. Check out the advertisers. Why? It will give you a list of proven products to promote on your membership site. Magazines are expensive to advertise in, if these companies can afford to pay for an ad, chances are they’re doing well and their products are in demand.

Dig deep in article directories. Visit your favorite article directory, like Ezine Articles and search for information on your membership marketing niche topic. This will give you a quick glance on the current demand for information. It will also give you a list of websites already established in your field. Visit the sites and examine what they’re doing right and wrong and what you can take from them and make better.

How To Overcome Writers Block

So what exactly is writers block?

writers block“Well, I just can’t think of a single thing to say, let alone write about, my mind is a blank. Oh well, I’ll go and do something else instead.”

Does that sound familiar?

We have all experienced this phenomenon when we absolutely have to write something, particularly on a deadline. I’m talking about. . . . .uh, I can’t think of what the word is . . oh, yes, it’s on the tip of my tongue . . . it’s: WRITER’S BLOCK!!!!

Whew! I feel better just getting that out of my head and onto the page!

Writer’s block is the patron demon of the blank page. You may think you know EXACTLY what you are going to write, but as soon as that evil white screen appears before you, your mind suddenly goes completely blank. I’m not talking about stare at the wall until enlightenment hits kind of blank.

I’m talking about sweat trickling down the back of your neck, anguish and panic and suffering kind of blank. The tighter the deadline, the worse the anguish of writer’s block gets.

Having said that, let me say it again. “The tighter the deadline, the worse the anguish of writer’s block gets.” Now, can you figure out what might possibly be causing this horrible plunge into speechlessness? The answer is obvious: FEAR! You are terrified of that blank page. You are terrified you have absolutely nothing of value to say. You are afraid of the fear of writers block itself!

It doesnt necessarily matter if you’ve done a decade of research and all you have to do is string sentences you can repeat in your sleep together into coherent paragraphs. Writers block can strike anyone at any time. Based in fear, it raises our doubts about our own self-worth, but it’s sneaky. It’s writer’s block, after all, so it doesn’t just come and let you know that. No, it makes you feel like an idiot who just had your frontal lobes removed through your sinuses. If you dared to put forth words into the greater world, they would surely come out as gibberish!

writers blockLet’s try and be rational with this irrational demon. Let’s make a list of what might possibly be beneath this terrible and terrifying condition.

1. Perfectionism. You must absolutely produce a
masterpiece of literature straight off in the first
draft. Otherwise, you qualify as a complete failure.

2. Editing instead of composing. There’s your
monkey-mind sitting on your shoulder, yelling as soon
as you type “I was born,” no, not that, that’s wrong!
That’s stupid! Correct correct, correct?

3. Self-consciousness. How can you think, let alone
write, when all you can manage to do is pry the
fingers of writer’s block away from your throat enough
so you can gasp in a few shallow breaths? You’re not
focusing on what you’re trying to write, your focusing
on those gnarly fingers around your windpipe.

4. Can’t get started. It’s always the first sentence
that’s the hardest. As writers, we all know how
EXTREMELY important the first sentence is. It must be
brilliant! It must be unique! It must hook your
reader’s from the start! There’s no way we can get
into writing the piece until we get past this
impossible first sentence.

5. Shattered concentration. You’re dog is sick. You
suspect your mate is cheating on you. Your electricity
might be turned off any second. You have a crush on
someone. You have a dinner party
planned for your in-laws. You . . . Need I say more.
How can you possibly concentrate with all this mental
clutter?

6. Procrastination. It’s your favorite hobby. It’s your soul mate.

FACE IT,  IT IS ONE OF THE REASONS YOU HAVE WRITERS
BLOCK!

How to Overcome Writers Block

Okay. I can hear that herd of you running away from
this article as fast as you can. Absurd! you huff.
Never in a million years, you fume. Writer’s block is
absolutely, undeniably, scientifically proven to be
impossible to overcome.

Oh, just get over it! Well, I guess it’s not that
easy. So try to sit down for just a few minutes and
listen. All you have to do is listen, you don’t have
to actually write a single word.

Ah, there you all are again. I am beginning to make
you out now that the cloud of dust is settling.

I am here to tell you that WRITERS BLOCK CAN BE
OVERCOME.

There are ways to trick this nasty demon. Pick one,
pick several, and give them a try. Soon, before you
even have a chance for your heartbeat to accelerate,
guess what, you are writing.

Here are some tried and true methods of overcoming
writer’s block:

1. Be prepared. The only thing to fear is fear itself.
I know, that’s a cliche, but as soon as you start
writing, feel free to improve on it. If you spend
some time mulling over your project before you
actually sit down to write, you may be able to
circumvent the worst of the crippling panic.

2. Forget perfectionism. No one ever writes a
masterpiece in the first draft. Don’t put any
expectations on your writing at all! In fact, tell
yourself you’re going to write absolute garbage, and
then give yourself permission to happily stink up your
writing room.

3. Compose instead of editing. Never, never write your
first draft with your monkey-mind sitting on your
shoulder making snide editorial comments. Composing is
a magical process. It surpasses the conscious mind by
galaxies. It’s even incomprehensible to the conscious,
editorial, monkey-mind. So prepare an ambush. Sit down
at your computer or your desk. Take a deep breath and
blow out all your thoughts. Let your finger hover over
your keyboard or pick up your pen. And then pull a
fake: appear to be about to begin to write, but
instead, using your thumb and index finger of your
dominant hand, flick that little annoying ugly monkey
back into the barrel of laughs it came from. Then jump
in quickly! Write, scribble, scream, howl, let
everything loose, as long as you do it with a pen or
your computer keyboard.

4. Forget the first sentence. You can sweat over that
all-important one-liner when you’ve finished your
piece. Skip it! Go for the middle or even the end.
Start wherever you can. Chances are, when you read it
over, the first line will be blinking its little neon
lights right at you from the depths of your
composition.

5. Concentration. This is a hard one. Life throws us
so many curve balls. How about thinking about your
writing time as a little vacation from all those
annoying worries. Banish them! Create a space, perhaps
even a physical one, where nothing exists except the
single present moment. If one of those irritating
worries gets by you, stomp on it like you would an
ugly bug!

6. Stop procrastinating. Write an outline. Keep your
research notes within sight. Use someone else’s
writing to get going. Babble incoherently on paper or
on the computer if you have to.

Just do it! Tack up anything that could possibly help
you to get going: notes, outlines, pictures of your
grandmother. Put the cookie you will be allowed to eat
when you finish your first draft within sight ? but
out of reach. Then pick up the same type of writing
that you need to write, and read it. Then read it
again. Soon, trust me, the fear will slowly fade away.
As soon as it does, grab your keyboard, and get
writing!

Effective Facebook Marketing Strategies

Lets discuss Facebook Marketing & what new effective strategies can be used by Business Owners on this massive social platform site.

imagesFacebook has changed the rules again, it has now altered algorithms to enhance user experience via posts that are displayed on an individual’s news feed. This change is set to dramatically affect the way that businesses can conduct successful marketing campaigns on the site. Facebook will now heavily restrict posts that recycle previously used ad content, posts which push for viewers to buy a product or install an app, and content that pressures people to enter contests without any sort of context or frame of reference.

Facebook has decided to implement this change as a result of a recent user poll. Facebook was quoted on the matter as stating, “As part of an ongoing survey we asked thousands of people how they felt about the content in their News Feeds. People told us they wanted to see more stories from friends and Pages they care about, and less promotional content.”

Basically, if the content a business is posting is promotional, expect organic distribution to fall drastically.

In order to assist small business owners in redefining marketing strategies for Facebook, here are the best practices for remaining on follower’s timelines.

Follow Facebook’s Advice

Facebook is constantly improving upon existing algorithms, much like Google’s are updated periodically. For one to truly reap the benefits of this powerful marketing mecca, it is best to just play by the rules, otherwise, you won’t reach the folks you aim to communicate with.

Many valuable pieces of information and insights can be harvested from the Facebook for Businesses Page posting Tips and Best Practices reference page. Some of the things discussed here that will help a business preserve organic reach are:

Post Frequently: Consistency is key. Don’t shy away from posting regularly. In fact, posting quality content (that is not promotional) on a steady basis will help ensure that your audience is seeing your posts. A great idea, which Facebook recommends, is to develop and adhere to a content calendar.
Utilise Fresh Text and Images: It should be widely known at this point that images are critical for content posting. It simply won’t be seen without an eye-catching image or video. It is also important to remain timely with posts. Post content around large holidays or events, but still keep the material focused toward the target audience. Remember, if it’s all about you, few will see it. Make it relevant to the masses and your organic reach will grow.
Target Posts Accordingly: A myriad of targeting options is available on Facebook. Businesses can target audiences based on age, gender, location, and so on to reach the appropriate demographic for content. Simply go to “Settings” and click on “Post Targeting and Privacy”.

All of these key tips are easy to do and free to implement. By following the groundwork that Facebook has already laid out, your business is one step closer to social media prosperity.

Embrace Ads for Promotional Efforts

While the alterations to Facebook’s algorithms will defiantly impact the reach of promotional content, Facebook ads will continue to be an appropriate channel for this. In the Facebook survey, many users are not bothered by promotional advertising. It only seems to become a nuisance for people once those posts begin to congest news feeds.

In Facebook’s third quarter of 2014, a flooring $2.96 billion in advertising revenue was acquired. The fact is that this avenue of advertising is marvelous as Facebook has the ability to present custom adverts to custom audiences, which could prove to be a huge score since only interested demographics will see the ad. Additionally, Facebook ads stand a higher chance of generating conversions than promotional posts do.

Facebook is More Than Just Social Media

Facebook is without a doubt a powerful and prominent source for developing awareness around a brand. The platform, however, should be utilized for much more than just spreading the word about a business.

As promotional efforts in content begin to die down for this social arena, businesses should shift Facebook pages to be a customer service tool. Many well-known businesses, including Zappos.com, have already adopted this strategy. This will help to establish more of a connection with customers in a space that most already feel comfortable in, and possibly prefer. In fact, one recent Accent Marketing report shows that one third of the 1,000 consumers surveyed have used Facebook as a customer service portal.

Looking at Facebook as more than a place to promote and publish materials will allow businesses to generate an increased level of engagement, trust, and brand awareness in consumers.

The plain facts are that social media is evolving, and fast. Soon enough promotional content might completely be a thing of the past. Consumers will be able to shop and make purchases on the platform, and most all businesses will provide customer support through Facebook and social destinations like it.

These platforms are capable of so much more and are no longer merely tools for socializing and lead generation. Forget the promotional content and look to the future. Invest time in adjusting your social campaigning efforts to fit in with Facebook’s new changes to ensure your social media presence remains relevant and visible.

How have you best used Facebook to increase the productivity of your small business?

Niche Marketing Solutions

Being able to research a chosen niche is essential for any Internet Marketer. The strategies and online ideas you find will be very beneficial, and put you in front of your competition.
If you don’t do your research correctly or thoroughly it will be detrimental to your online business, and cost you time and money. Below are a few niche marketing solutions I have compiled for you.

1. Are you already involved in a particular market area?
It is easier to market something you already know about, gaining an understanding of your area of expertise is paramount to the success of your marketing campaigns.

2. Does size really matter?
The larger the market does not mean it is the best to get involved with. A niche should be chosen that is big enough to market and has a need for clearly defined prospects. The problem here is finding the right balance between size and potential. If you discover a niche which is massive for example then try to find a sub-niche.

3. What are the prospects of the niche?
Many businesses these days are struggling to stay afloat, so you must assertain exactly how desirable the niche really is. You want to be in a strong developing niche and not a sinking ship. You must research this in the right way.

4. Where is the niche market based?
Many marketers prefer a world wide audience to sell to, others like a more localised area. Another thing to watch out for here is, how popular the niche is in certain areas and just how many other marketers are out there.

5. Who will become customers?
Distinquish exactly who you will be targeting; men, women, children, animals ect.
With this in mind, you need to consider exactly how much someone will spend. It goes without saying that you will be better off selling to people who have money rather than those that don’t. In some markets people are willing to spend more money than others. Your pricing, with that in mind is of paramount importance.

6. How do customers think?
Consider this, does the market lend itself to the impulse buyer or is it one based upon lengthy descision making. Do they only buy offline, in which case you may need to change the way you market to them.

7. Does the customer need to change their habits?
Many people want a lot of things, but not everyone is willing to change and do something about it, no matter what they say in order to convince themselves. You need to develop your customers into the mind set of wanting to change, if the market warrants it.

8. Play on emotion?
People buy on emotion and then justify their actions with logic. This is a key strategy and one that you as an internet marketer must develop over time. Play on the fact that you are there to change lives for the better, get inside their heads and make them want to listen and purchase from you.

9. How do customers respond to advertisments?
Some markets are just no good for direct response style advertisments, which is understandable. You need to find out the best way to advertise your business, so knowing your targeted prospects is essential for any advertising campaign.

10. How to set your price?
Deciding on what is too much and what is not enough to charge for a product is very important. You must get the balance right. If you go too low then people may think that it isn’t worth purchasing. Similarly, if the price is too high then you risk not making as many sales.

11. Is it a seasonal market?
Will your business be able to cope with a product that is governed by the seasons of the year? If so then how are you going to survive out of season and compete?

12. Are there comparable products?
How many people are selling related products, find out and model what they do. Take what works and leave behind what doesn’t. Don’t chase shadows here.

13. Is there potential for continuity income?
Within the chosen niche market can you create renewable and continued income, another words is the product repeatable enough for the customers to keep coming back. Having a constant flow of re-occurring paying customers each and every month will ensure your success in the long term.

In summary.
It is true that there are more research options available to the internet marketer, but if you analyse these key factors listed then you will get a clear idea of what to expect in your chosen niche. At first glance the market may look great, but when you look deeper into the marketing aspects it could look awful.
