There are many benefits to focusing on your blog post titles such as better SEO rankings, as well as potentially longer times being spent on your site. Creating titles that are simple, yet invoke curiosity and explain what your content is about is a great first step to better blog post titles.

3. Ensure Your Site Loads Quickly

Ensuring that your website loads up quickly should be a given among most bloggers and webmasters. But when we get so involved in creating our website and content, load times can be totally forgotten or overlooked. To ensure your website loads up more quickly, minimize the number of plugins you use and use a theme optimized for SEO.

4. Make Your Website User Engaging

User engagement can play a huge factor for visitors coming to your site and how they perceive your website. By allowing individuals to post comments, and replying to those comments can allow for an increase in search term keywords, while providing a better and more helpful experience by users coming to your site.

5. Post Content More Often

You might see this method being used once or twice in this list and that’s because of its high importance to maintaining your site and establishing your brand online. The more content being posted on your site, the more of a presence you’re likely to have online and the better your reputation could become.

6. Offer a Product Or Service Not Offered By Anyone Else

Whether you’re an e-commerce site, a site that offers a service, or a blogger, offering something else that no one in your niche is offering can give you a huge advantage over your competitors. This could be anything from providing 24/7 help or promoting a product line that the online community in your niche feels so obliged to share with everyone else. Whatever it is, offer something no on else is offering to become the dominant player in your niche.

7. Make Your Site Stand Out On Social Media

Sites that stand out or make their mark on social media can provide your website with a boost in awareness, reputation, and even credibility. The more your website gets shared on social media, the more notice your website will receive. Focus on 1 or 2 major social media networks at first, then expand to others if possible. Use these networks as a method for branding your website and becoming known as a reputable source in your niche.

8. Brand Your Business & Website

Don’t just create a business or a website. Instead, you should always to attempt to create a brand that people will come to know and love. To better brand your business and or website, ensure that the website and content your posting has a purpose for your overall message.

9. Ensure You Have a Domain That Stands Out

Make sure you’re choosing a domain that is brand-able, and really stands out in your niche. Think of what people are more likely to click on when they see your future website listed on the first page or two of Google. Here is a small guide we created to help you create that perfect domain.

10. Use The Best Images

Using awesome images can have a major positive affect on your brand. If possible, try to capture and post some of these images yourself, instead of having to use stock photo sites every time. Taking the images yourself can go a long way in enhancing your website’s brand and credibility.

11. Create a Helpful Website To Dominate Your niche

Make sure individuals in your niche can find almost all the information they are looking for. All the questions relative to a product or service in your niche, should be answered by the content posted on your website, if you truly want to become a dominate player in your niche.

12. Avoid & Minimize Distractions Like Ads

The last thing on your mind when it comes to your website should be ad placement. That’s not to say you can’t have any. Just don’t make placing more ads within your content a priority. That’s not what leads to a great and successful site and can in-fact, compromise your long-term or future potential. Keep your advertisements or links as non-intrusive as possible.

13. Have a Good Variety Of Content

Don’t only ensure that you are posting consistently, but also ensure the content you posts comes in variety. This refrains your website from becoming overly repetitive and can give repeat visitors something new to look forward to daily.

14. Make Sure Your Website Is Well-Organised

A well-organized website will simply make your website easier to understand as a whole. To ensure better organization, use a menu structure and category hierarchy that makes sense. Also, make sure the categories being used are smaller sub-niche topics people in that niche are constantly searching for. That will make finding certain blog posts on your site easier than ever and ensure a much better user experience.

15. Become The Go To Resource

If you become the resource that everyone wants to visit in your niche, you can undoubtedly become a more dominant player in your niche. In order to become that go to resource, you need to ensure your website has content on many of the subjects and topics available in your niche. You should also ensure that content is being written with uniqueness and originality in mind.

16. Write Content No One Else Has Thought Of

Creating a website that promotes content creativity can help your site stand out in other ways. If you look at BuzzFeed for example, they’re actually a source of news who present their content in a much more engaging and trendy way. This is all due to the way they create their content and blog post titles.

17. Focus On The Details

Make sure you’re always focusing on the smaller details of the site. Aspects like font, color, headings, and more, can truly make or break your website’s short and long-term potential.

18. Write Lengthier Content, Guides, & How To’s

Ensuring there is a variety of content on your site can be made easy by creating really long and in-depth content that answers every question on that topic. Even though this content will be longer to create, its long-term rewards in terms of traffic, rankings, and credibility, will make it all worth it in the end. Visitors could also consistently be coming back to that content just as a reference or for getting an answer to a specific question.

19. Cover Everything Your niche Has To Offer

Don’t leave any stone un-turned, if you truly want to become the dominant player in your niche. If we take a look at CNN or FoxNews for practical purposes, we’ll find that the major news outlet covers absolutely every international news story they can on a constant basis. This means if you want to dominate your niche, constantly work towards filling your site up with more and more helpful content, that people can’t get enough of.

20. Grow Your Site With Age & Be Patient

Another important step towards dominating your niche, both now and in the future, is to allow your site to grow with age and practice patience. No website grows to its ultimate form overnight. It’s a process where the more content you add to your site, the more seeds you inherently plant for creating a more dominant online presence.

21. Post Often & Be Consistent

If you’re willing to let months go by without posting, you can never expect to be the dominant site in your niche. This is because there is a much greater likeliness your competitors are consistently posting. And if that’s happening, you need to make sure you’re on that same level or higher. Otherwise, why should your site be considered better or greater than theirs?

22. Hire Expert Authors To Write For You

One thing you can do as your site grows and grows is work on hiring more authoritative voices to write for your blog. This can essentially allow your website to become more of a resource for visitors who grow an increasing trust for the kind of content you publish.

23. Become An Authoritative & Trustworthy Source

Trustworthy sources will always achieve some of the highest rankings. But to build a website that established those two traits takes time and patience. For now, ensure the content or form of your content being posted is consistently being improved.

24. Get Noticed By Bigger Brands & News Outlets

Getting noticed by bigger brands and news sources truly means you’re headed in the right direction and can be a positive sign you’re posting the right kind of content. This means you should always create content other websites and brands are looking to share on their own.

25. Make Your Site & Content Reflective Of The niche Today

To become a bigger and better brand in your niche, ensure that the content of your site reflects how that niche is currently being perceived. It’s important to note that niches always go through changes overtime and it’s important for your website to reflect that. Technology changes, new products come out, newer innovations, etc.. Always try and capitalize on these topics trending in your niche.

26. Interlink To All Your Posts

By interlinking to your posts, you’re essentially creating an encyclopedia in its own way that can be used as a helpful online resource by visitors. Your ultimate goal in any niche is to help others. Interlinking to your posts therefore, is an SEO strategy that makes sense.

27. Write Content That Solves Problems

Seek out the problems individuals are having in your niche and create content that solves those problems. This will ensure better long-term SEO rankings and better awareness by visitors. Supplement your content with longer how to guides and tutorials that solve these long sought-out issues.

28. Create Lists Like This One

Creating lists is a popular method big brands like BuzzFeed and many others use to get the attention of visitors. They’re easier to read, browse through, and can be more fun to engage with. That’s because lists are a very straight-forward way of digesting many different kinds of content.

29. Learn To Outsource Various Tasks

Don’t try and manage all your web tasks alone. Instead, always work on building and managing a team who can take on some of these tasks for you, even if you can’t see the short-term profitability in doing so. This could lead to a better and more trusted brand over-time, by allowing you to focus on your most important tasks for long-term website growth.

30. Ensure Your Site Has a Contact Page

These three sections can ensure your website is more of a legitimate resource than others. By allowing visitors to contact you or know more about you, your brand, and vision can put you a step above other competitors who may have failed to do so. Ensuring visitors can contact you can further help your brand and promote more word-of-mouth advertising by those your brand has helped.

31. Make Your Content More Thorough

There are some types of content that simply require details and thoroughness. Always ensure that if you’re choosing a topic to write on, you cover all the bases, especially if that topic seems to require it more than others.

32. Supplement Content With Videos & YouTube

One way to ensure better variety and addition of content is by supplementing your content with YouTube videos. This can allow you to present content in a much more appealing way and allow you to ‘act out’ the content instead of writing it down for everyone to read. It can essentially also lead you to building a brand potentially twice as strong by creating both a YouTube and Google or search engine presence.

33. Ensure Website Is Mobile-Friendly

This is a fairly easy, basic, and straight-forward SEO strategy that will lead to better rankings and help you dominate your niche. For most, this is a one and done strategy that requires your theme to be mobile friendly. To ensure your website is mobile friendly, simply check out your website’s mobile status in Google Search Console.

34. Ensure Smooth Website Navigation

Focusing on your user experience is one great way to stand above the competition. Ensure smoother and better website navigation by adding a related content widget to the end of your posts. This increases the likeliness users will continue to visit other blog posts on your site. Provide related content you feel you’re targeted audience is interested in reading for a better user experience.

35. Focus On niche-Specific Keywords

For most bloggers, focusing on niche-specific keywords should be a given. Always make it your jobs, as an SEO enthusiast, to find both short and long-tail keywords you can base most of your content off of. These are the search terms people in that niche are searching for. The more keywords you can capitalize on and base great content off of, the more likely you’ll be found in the search engines.

36. Don’t Limit The Type Of Content You Post

As mentioned, mix up your content often. Never stick to just one kind of post as it’ll be much harder for your website to reach the majority of your audience. Types of content you can focus on include:

Reviews
Videos
Tutorials
Guides
How To
Opinionated
Lists

37. Consider Creating a Forum

Many of the dominant players in their respective niche have integrated a forum into their website. This is something you should only consider if it makes sense doing so and you feel is something you can manage or have a desire to achieve. Top websites like WarriorForum.com have built much of their reputation based on their forum alone.

38. Offer Lower Prices Or Higher Quality

One of the most important steps you can take if you’re an e-commerce site is to offer lower priced products than your competitor. Otherwise known as USP or unique selling proposition, this will give customers a reason to come back to your site over others. Whether it’s a higher quality product, lower priced product, or easier shipping and services, it’s important to find what part of your service will stand out more-so than others.

39. Maintain a Stellar Online Reputation

Maintaining a great online reputation for your brand is a task that comes along with any and every website. You want people to discuss your website in a positive light. The bigger your website and brand grows, the more important this task becomes. The more positively people talk about your website, the more likely it is to grow in popularity across the internet.

40. Focus On Community Involvement

Community involvement is really what provides proof that your website has content worth reading. Similar to engagement on YouTube videos that provide credibility for that video, same goes for websites. Whether its comments or shares, always try and focus increasing involvement in your community and your niche, as this will help with brand awareness and recognition as well. Comment plugins like Disqus can also go a long way in encouraging more users to get involved in the discussion, while blog commenting is another great way to bond relationships within your niche and keep you up on hot topics.

41. Add Social Media Sharing Links

Social media sharing is another great way to boost your website’s popularity and a method that allows your visitors to become more engaged with your website. Make sharing across social media sharing and entice people to share with easy-to-use links and with content that truly helps them. With one share leading to another, it can be hard to imagine just how fast your website could spread or grow on social media, on social media alone.

42. Ensure All Your Content Is Fully Readable

Readability is a huge and differentiating factor from one niche site to the next. It’s so important to emphasize your website’s readability and in placing it as a top priority for your website. Many visitors will simply leave a site because they had trouble reading the first sentence or two. Take the extra step to ensure you have some of the best readable fonts across other sites in your niche. This not only refers to plain paragraph text, but text in your titles, headings, and menu as well.

43. Create Audio Podcasts

One method that can truly allow you to dominate your niche is by creating audio podcasts. If you don’t prefer getting on camera or creating YouTube videos, one way to implement more content variety is by getting on a microphone and getting in a discussion over a topic in your niche. This can create some awesome debate or controversy in your niche and get noticed way more often. Pat Flynn from Smart passive income utilizes this method quite a bit and has grown to incredible new heights over the past decade.

44. Create a Newsletter To Dominate Your niche

Creating a newsletter for your website is an excellent way to grow an audience you know wants to hear from you. With your daily newsletter reaching the inbox of hopefully, thousands of subscribers, you can in-turn build your brand to a new height by constantly looking for new ways to help or entertain them. With a list, you now have a resource at your hand that you can work on using to spread the power of your brand even further.

45. Revise Old & Outdated Posts

As a blogger and webmaster, it’s always important your website doesn’t contain outdated information, especially if you’re aware of it. Every few months, go back to old posts just to make sure the information is accurate and reflects what is going on currently. If you have the extra time, consider sprucing up older posts you feel could be improved.

46. Keep An Eye On Rankings

If you’re looking to take your job seriously, keep an eye out for rankings. There are a number of ways you can do this to keep track of your progress, while placing markers on future goals. One way is by simply using Google Search Console to look at movement in keyword positions, impressions, and clicks. You might also decide to hire a third party service to keep track of this for you like the keyword tool Jaaxy or the all-in-one toolkit, SEMrush.com.

47. Watch For New Competitors

You should never panic whenever you see a few new competitors entering your niche. This is an inevitable occurrence that can’t be avoided and should not cause you to worry. Because your site has aged longer and gained more trust overtime, new competitors shouldn’t come as a threat. Instead, use them to see what new ideas they are implementing in the niche to see if it can inspire any new ideas for you.

48. Keep Your Site Updated

By consistently keeping your site updated and by adding new content to your site overtime, you can be sure to maintain both short and long-term rankings. This can help keep and maintain current rankings for your site and ensure potential future growth. Keeping your site updated is one of the most important things you can do to maintain your website’s rankings and contribute to growth for sites that are just starting.

49. Create Resources & Citations For Your Blog

One great strategy to keep visitors returning to your blog is by creating a resource section for your blog. With this page, you can include any tools, websites, or services you use that helps solve a problem within your niche. This is further useful as it compiles and lists everything being used by yourself in one easy to visit section on your blog or website.

In addition, make sure you create a resource or citations section at the end of blog posts that need them to instill more authority and trust. Wikipedia.org for example, never fails to include a citation/resource section at the end of their posts, turning them into a very credible source.

50. Follow The Steps In This List Often!

The last thing you want to do to truly dominate your niche is to follow the steps within this list often. Choose new steps or strategies to implement and work on over a course of a few months or more. This will allow you to grow your website to new heights, especially if you find that step takes more courage than others.

Whether that means hiring new individuals to join your team, creating 2,000+ worded readable content, getting on camera or microphone to stir a debate, or improving your keyword research, there are a never-ending amount of steps you can take to dominate your niche.

So why not start on your next plan or step today to dominate your niche?

Become A Niche Marketing Expert

While the internet is and always will be the greatest advertising platform in history, today, it is much more challenging to create a strong and profitable online presence. Because the internet has become saturated with thousands of business niches, becoming a niche marketing expert in your particular field is extremely important and necessary for being classed as successful.

Most People Are More Likely To Trust An Expert

Many people today want to make money online from home. However, following the traditional steps for doing so may not be enough anymore to get you where you need to be for making an actual income. Consider a time when you were looking for a specific product or service. The first place you probably looked for more information about that product or service was online. Now, think about the website or blog post you chose for learning more about the product or service you needed. You more than likely chose the one that came across as being legitimate and written by an expert.

How Can You Become An Expert In Your Business niche?

The decisions you make about going into business online are important and should be made only after you have given them a lot of thought. Doing so is extremely important for being able to choose a business niche you can easily become an expert at. Think about the products or services you know a lot about and focus on them for niche building.

What About Affiliate Business Ventures?

If you would like to sell the products or services from another person or company, you will need to take the time to learn all you can about those products or services. Learning everything you can and posting content about what you know gives you greater ground as being an expert about the services or products you are selling as an affiliate marketer. No matter what products or services you sell, being an expert about them is the most important aspect of being successful selling them, especially online.

Niche Marketing Tactics Can Have Great Benefits

Focusing on one aspect of your marketing at a time can have many benefits, the best one being you are able to provide unclouded attention on that one area of your business. In this way, you can also trace the marketing results from that one area as well. However, when focusing on one aspect of your marketing campaigns, taking the time to become an expert in your niche can help you become more creative with your undivided focus.

Making your dream of running a successful online business can come true when you stop to consider the best ways to approach your dream. No matter what niche you are considering, being the best at it will help to draw customers to you more so than all the advertising you could possibly come up with. If one person says you are an expert in your field that starts the fire known in the advertising world as a word of mouth. Once this fire starts about you being a niche expert, you may be surprised to see how fast you start earning more profits in your online niche marketing efforts.

Niche Marketing Solutions

Being able to research a chosen niche is essential for any Internet Marketer. The strategies and online ideas you find will be very beneficial, and put you in front of your competition.
If you don’t do your research correctly or thoroughly it will be detrimental to your online business, and cost you time and money. Below are a few niche marketing solutions I have compiled for you.

1. Are you already involved in a particular market area?
It is easier to market something you already know about, gaining an understanding of your area of expertise is paramount to the success of your marketing campaigns.

2. Does size really matter?
The larger the market does not mean it is the best to get involved with. A niche should be chosen that is big enough to market and has a need for clearly defined prospects. The problem here is finding the right balance between size and potential. If you discover a niche which is massive for example then try to find a sub-niche.

3. What are the prospects of the niche?
Many businesses these days are struggling to stay afloat, so you must assertain exactly how desirable the niche really is. You want to be in a strong developing niche and not a sinking ship. You must research this in the right way.

4. Where is the niche market based?
Many marketers prefer a world wide audience to sell to, others like a more localised area. Another thing to watch out for here is, how popular the niche is in certain areas and just how many other marketers are out there.

5. Who will become customers?
Distinquish exactly who you will be targeting; men, women, children, animals ect.
With this in mind, you need to consider exactly how much someone will spend. It goes without saying that you will be better off selling to people who have money rather than those that don’t. In some markets people are willing to spend more money than others. Your pricing, with that in mind is of paramount importance.

6. How do customers think?
Consider this, does the market lend itself to the impulse buyer or is it one based upon lengthy descision making. Do they only buy offline, in which case you may need to change the way you market to them.

7. Does the customer need to change their habits?
Many people want a lot of things, but not everyone is willing to change and do something about it, no matter what they say in order to convince themselves. You need to develop your customers into the mind set of wanting to change, if the market warrants it.

8. Play on emotion?
People buy on emotion and then justify their actions with logic. This is a key strategy and one that you as an internet marketer must develop over time. Play on the fact that you are there to change lives for the better, get inside their heads and make them want to listen and purchase from you.

9. How do customers respond to advertisments?
Some markets are just no good for direct response style advertisments, which is understandable. You need to find out the best way to advertise your business, so knowing your targeted prospects is essential for any advertising campaign.

10. How to set your price?
Deciding on what is too much and what is not enough to charge for a product is very important. You must get the balance right. If you go too low then people may think that it isn’t worth purchasing. Similarly, if the price is too high then you risk not making as many sales.

11. Is it a seasonal market?
Will your business be able to cope with a product that is governed by the seasons of the year? If so then how are you going to survive out of season and compete?

12. Are there comparable products?
How many people are selling related products, find out and model what they do. Take what works and leave behind what doesn’t. Don’t chase shadows here.

13. Is there potential for continuity income?
Within the chosen niche market can you create renewable and continued income, another words is the product repeatable enough for the customers to keep coming back. Having a constant flow of re-occurring paying customers each and every month will ensure your success in the long term.

In summary.
It is true that there are more research options available to the internet marketer, but if you analyse these key factors listed then you will get a clear idea of what to expect in your chosen niche. At first glance the market may look great, but when you look deeper into the marketing aspects it could look awful.

Selecting Search Engine Keywords

Search Engines are the vehicles that drive potential customers to your websites. But in order for visitors to reach their destination, your website, you need to provide them with specific and effective signs that will direct them right to your site. You do this by creating carefully chosen keywords. Selecting the correct search engine keywords is massively important if you want to stay ahead of the competition.

seo keywordsThink of the right keywords as the “Open Sesame!” of the Internet. Find the exactly right words or phrases, and presto! Hoards of traffic will be pulling up to your front door. But if your keywords are too general or too over-used, the possibility of visitors actually making it all the way to your site – or of seeing any real profits from the visitors that do arrive – decreases dramatically.

Your keywords serve as the foundation of your marketing strategy. If they are not chosen with great precision, no matter how aggressive your marketing campaign may be, the right people may never get the chance to find out about it. So your first step in plotting your strategy is to gather and evaluate keywords and phrases.

You probably think you already know EXACTLY the right words for your search phrases. Unfortunately, if you haven’t followed certain specific steps, you are probably WRONG.

It’s hard to be objective when you are right in the center of your business network, which is the reason that you may not be able to choose the most efficient keywords from the inside. You need to be able to think like your customers. And since you are a business owner and not the consumer, your best bet is to go directly to the source.

Instead of plunging in and scribbling down a list of potential search words and phrases yourself, ask for words from as many potential customers as you can. You will most likely find out that your understanding of your business and your customers’ understanding is significantly different.

The consumer is an invaluable resource. You will find the words you accumulate from them are words and phrases you probably never would have considered from deep inside the trenches of your business.

Only after you have gathered as many words and phrases from outside resources should you add your own keyword to the list. Once you have this list in hand, you are ready for the next step: evaluation.

The aim of evaluation is to narrow down your list to a small number of words and phrases that will direct the highest number of quality visitors to your website. By “quality visitors” I mean those consumers who are most likely to make a purchase rather than just cruise around your site and take off for greener pastures. In evaluating the effectiveness of keywords, bear in mind three elements: popularity, specificity, and motivation.

Popularity is the easiest to evaluate because it is an objective quality. The more popular your keyword is, the more likely the chances are that it will be typed into a Search Engine which will then bring up your URL.

keyword imageYou can now purchase software that will rate the popularity of keywords and phrases by giving words a number rating based on real Search Engine activity. Software such as WordTracker will even suggest variations of your words and phrases. The higher the number this software assigns to a given keyword, the more traffic you can logically expect to be directed to your site. The only fallacy with this concept is the more popular the keyword is, the greater the Search Engine position you will need to obtain. If you are down at the bottom of the search results, the consumer will probably never scroll down to find you.

Popularity isn’t enough to declare a keyword a good choice. You must move on to the next criteria, which is specificity. The more specific your keyword is, the greater the likelihood that the consumer who is ready to purchase your goods or services will find you.

Let’s look at a hypothetical example. Imagine that you have obtained popularity rankings for the keyword “automobile companies.” However, you company specializes in bodywork only. The keyword “automobile body shops” would rank lower on the popularity scale than “automobile companies,” but it would nevertheless serve you much better. Instead of getting a slew of people interested in everything from buying a car to changing their oil filters, you will get only those consumers with trashed front ends or crumpled fenders being directed to your site. In other words, consumers ready to buy your services are the ones who will immediately find you. Not only that, but the greater the specificity of your keyword is, the less competition you will face.

The third factor is consumer motivation. Once again, this requires putting yourself inside the mind of the customer rather than the seller to figure out what motivation prompts a person looking for a service or product to type in a particular word or phrase. Let’s look at another example, such as a consumer who is searching for a job as an IT manager in a new city. If you have to choose between “Seattle job listings” and “Seattle IT recruiters” which do you think will benefit the consumer more? If you were looking for this type of specific job, which keyword would you type in? The second one, of course! Using the second keyword targets people who have decided on their career, have the necessary experience, and are ready to enlist you as their recruiter, rather than someone just out of school who is casually trying to figure out what to do with his or her life in between beer parties. You want to find people who are ready to act or make a purchase, and this requires subtle tinkering of your keywords until your find the most specific and directly targeted phrases to bring the most motivated traffic to your site.

Once you have chosen your keywords, your work is not done. You must continually evaluate performance across a variety of Search Engines, bearing in mind that times and trends change, as does popular lingo. You cannot rely on your log traffic analysis alone because it will not tell you how many of your visitors actually made a purchase.

Luckily, some new tools have been invented to help you judge the effectiveness of your keywords in individual Search Engines. There is now software available that analyzes consumer behavior in relation to consumer traffic. This allows you to discern which keywords are bringing you the most valuable customers.

This is an essential concept: numbers alone do not make a good keyword; profits per visitor do. You need to find keywords that direct consumers to your site who actually buy your product, fill out your forms, or download your product. This is the most important factor in evaluating the efficacy of a keyword or phrase, and should be the sword you wield when discarding and replacing ineffective or inefficient keywords with keywords that bring in better profits.

Ongoing analysis of tested keywords is the formula for Search Engine success. This may sound like a lot of work – and it is! But the amount of informed effort you put into your keyword campaign is what will ultimately generate your business’ rewards.

Niche Research Explained

Alongside the mechanics of identifying, supporting and entering niche markets, what are the key factors you’ll need to exploit to succeed? Here are some key questions to answer about niche research.

Is there a need, a new opportunity or a customer problem?

Opportunity – a new market has emerged or a new opportunity exists in an existing market and a range of new solutionsare required to satisfy the new demand.

Problem – a group of people (or businesses) share a common problem and need a solution that they can easily adopt.

Need – the niche needs to or needs to find out about something and needs a focussed solution that provides the information they need.

The main purpose of the Niche Marketing Center is to help members find ideas for niche markets where there is an opportunity, a problem, an existing market or a need that needs solving.

Do the potential clients actually want the solution on offer?

The target group of customers must actually want the solution on offer – not have a need alone. For example, many thousands of people have a debt problem and ‘need’ to get out of debt – but very few actually ‘want’ to take positive action to do something about the situation.

The offer has to be just right; look good, sound good, cost good, seem good, BE good so that your potential customer will ‘want’ it and buy it.

The aim of all your communications, sales messages, emails, product offers, design or benefit statements is to gently take potential customers along the journey from slightly interested to the ultimate result of buying.

Are you trying to Run Before You Can Walk?

This is no joke, if you’re trying to go for a market that’s way outside your knowledge zone and very hard to access – you may find yourself spending a lot of time, money and heartache trying, and trying and trying some more.

You need to set your sights on easier opportunities that make the best use of your limited resources of time, money and effort. Progress will encourage more progress and the more experienced and skilled you become the easier it will be to access more difficult markets without taking so many risks.

You should be able to find markets that have forums, ezines, magazines, books, courses, training events, conferences, seminars, get togethers, stores, membership societies and so on to help with idea development, research, ideas, content and feedback.

Your niche might not have many or all of these but they are a good indication that your target market can be accessed and more importantly that information is available that can be tailored and focussed into specific products and services that provide what the market needs.

A small tight niche is great but are there any customers at all?

Finding a group of like minded customers who have great needs and wants AND MONEY! is a fantastic game to win. To be one of only a few suppliers with a product or service that is right on the button for the needs of the market is great but are there actually enough potential customers to make the market viable?

Will you get a return on your investment?

It’s all very well going niche but not if your product will never make a profit or your sales volumes are too low compared to the time and money spent on site management.

You need to find small focussed markets where you can generate enough leads, enough visitors and enough sales to make it all worthwhile..otherwise you might as well sit and burn a wad of dollar bills!

Can your customers afford your offer?

When considering a niche you need to bear in mind two key aspects around the affordability of your offer.

First up – you need to avoid playing in a market where the potential customers available to you simply can’t afford your offer – or don’t have credit cards.

More importantly you need to strike a balance between the cost of your product, the cost of alternatives or the cost of your customer not getting an easy solution to their needs.

So if your product doesn’t have much direct competition and the problem it solves is costly in terms of time, stress or money – you can afford to charge a much higher price. You also get a good sales USP.

What is the future value?

When you develop your first niche idea and your first product it will pay you very well to think about what your next and your next and your next will be. You’re going to be spending a lot of time and effort developing your first product and market so it makes a whole lot of sense to ensure that you can develop your business into complementary markets or offer complementary products to your customers.

By doing this you’ll ensure that your initial work can be used across more than one market and more than one product meaning each becomes cheaper in terms of resource and costs.

It’s the repeat business that will generate your biggest profits over time so it pays to plan ahead for new offers to your existing customer base as soon as possible.
